A filter press uses feed-pump pressure to move liquid through the cloth while solids build into a cake. Selection should be based on real material behaviour and production rhythm, not filtration area or price alone.
1. Operating cycle
Hydraulic closing forms sealed chambers, followed by feeding and filtration, optional membrane squeezing or air blowing, plate opening and cake discharge.
2. Frame structure
Overhead construction provides open side and lower access; side-bar construction is a proven, flexible arrangement for a broad range of duties.
3. Sizing
Calculate dry-solids load from feed concentration, cake thickness and density, cycle time and daily batches, then verify filtration rate by material testing.
4. Cake moisture
Conditioning, feed solids, pressure curve, membrane squeezing, cycle time and cloth condition jointly determine final moisture.
